Arsenal Favourites as Irish Bookmakers Give Their Early 26/27 Premier League Predictions

Posted on August 13, 2026

Following more than a decade of Man City dominance, and an increasingly dangerous Liverpool under Klopp (and arguably Slott as well) Arsenal did something last season that critics never thought possible. They won the Premier League. Not only did they win, but they held their nerve, and didn’t “bottle it”.

Since taking charge of The Gunners, Mikel Arteta has seemingly gone from strength to strength. Yes, he had his naysayers, and yes, we all remember those ‘Arteta Out’ chants, but for the most part, he has the support of the fans, and he most certainly has the support of his players.

Last season, Arsenal arguably looked stronger than ever. They not only won the title, but they also reached the Champions League final and narrowly missed out to PSG on penalties. They were even realistic challengers for ‘The Quad’.

But what sort of odds can we expect this season? Here’s what Irish bookmakers have to say about Arsenal and their chances of winning the Premier League again.

Irish Bookmakers Backing The Gunners

Following one of the most impressive seasons in Arsenal’s history, certainly over the last two decades, Mikel Arteta’s patience was finally rewarded, when his side held their nerve and deservedly won the EPL title.

Last season, not only did Arsenal win the title, but they were also bookmaker’s favourites to win the title, the FA Cup, the League Cup (Carabao Cup) and the Champions League. Even after missing out on the League Cup by fellow title contenders Man City in the final, and crashing out of the FA Cup by Southampton in the quarter finals, the bookies still backed them for the double. A double that almost came to fruition.

Ultimately, they only secured one of the big four titles, but what a moment that was. This season, Irish bookmakers believe they can do it again. BOYLE Sports and Ladbrokes both currently have Arsenal at 6/4.

Young Northern Irish prospect Ceadach O’Neill is also endearing himself to Irish footy fans and bookmakers alike. After scoring twice on his debut for Arsenal U18s, he signed his very first professional contract with the club last year. He could prove to be one to watch.

Set Piece Specialists

Whilst one of the keys to Arsenal’s success last season was to race ahead of their competitors early on in the season, it was their sheer dominance during set pieces that really helped to seal the title for them nice and early.

One of the men instrumental in said set pieces was Declan Rice. Yes, we know Rice is one of England’s most impressive players, but the former ROI international has never forgotten his roots. The Gunners actually made history last season, by scoring more goals from corners than any other club in EPL history. They scored a total of 19 goals from corners. The man who whipped in the majority of said corners? Declan Rice, of course. They also scored 16 headed goals.

Other Title Contenders to Watch

Of course, there are plenty of other teams in the EPL who have a very realistic chance of winning the title. Manchester City, Liverpool, and Chelsea are all prime examples.

Manchester City, Liverpool, and Chelsea all have new managers, in the form of Enzo Maresca, Andoni Iraola, and Xabi Alonso respectively. How well they fare, well, that remains to be seen.

Manchester City of course have Haaland, and we know how threatening he can be. Largely because of him, bookies are also tipping Man City to push for the title. They’re currently 3/1 with Ladbrokes, and 11/4 with BOYLE Sports.

Despite Cole Palmer looking more subdued last season, and even missing out on a spot in the World Cup squad for England, we all know how cool and composed he can be. Danny Welbeck, despite getting on a bit now, will also give opposing defenders a hard time, and this too is reflected in the odds. BOYLE Sports and Ladbrokes both have Chelsea at 8/1.

Finally, we have Liverpool. Liverpool’s season could go either way. They’re without Mo Salah and have a new gaffer in charge. Despite this, the bookies in Ireland aren’t too worried as The Reds are 5/1 with BOYLE Sports, and 11/2 with Ladbrokes.
