Is Limerick Likely to Win the 2025 Senior Hurling Championship?
For Limerick fans, the burning question at the moment is simple: are they likely to win the 2025 Senior Hurling Championship? Unfortunately, there’s no simple way to say on this, as the field isn’t clear-cut in their favour.
Now, Limerick is undoubtedly one of the strongest contenders for event winner, with odds of 7/4 (2.75) at William Hill, 15/8 (2.88) with Bet365, and 2/1 (3.0) with BoyleSports. Given this, they’re a pretty strong choice for sure, and the bookies are certainly looking favourably on Limerick to win the event.
However, they’re not the only contender; in fact, Limerick aren’t even the current favourite, a title which goes instead to Cork (albeit by the skin of their teeth). Indeed, Cork’s odds currently sit at 13/8 (2.63) with Bet365 and William Hill and 6/4 (2.5) with BoyleSports. As such, although the bookies are clearly still feeling uncertain, it’s not going to be an easy championship for either team, and both will need to bring their A-game for a chance at the cup.
Do Cork and Limerick Have Much Competition?
The good news for Cork and Limerick, at least, is that their main competition is one another; indeed, after these two, the next favourite is Kilkenny with odds of around 7/1 – 8/1 with most bookies. Given this, it seems very likely that either Cork or Limerick will win, at least based on current odds.
Plus, given that both teams positively decimated Galway in their recent matches, it’s safe to say they are performing at their best. Still, there’s no way just yet to say which team will come out on top; but, given that Limerick managed to defeat Cork at the start of February, it seems entirely possible that the bookies are being a little harsh on the former, and they could very well clinch the win again for the championship. Only time will tell.

It’s never easy to predict which team will do best when it comes to national championships, and such is also the case for the 2025 All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship. After all, the two main favourites for the event – Cork and Limerick – are both at incredibly close odds, and as such, there’s no easy way to predict which team will perform better.
