The Society also recognises qualifications accredited by the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors, which accredits over 500 courses worldwide, including UK-based distance learning undergraduate/postgraduate courses. Visit the RICS website at http://www.ricscourses.org/Pages/Home.aspx

In order to become Chartered you must be:

  • A graduate of an accredited course
  • Enrolled on a part-time/distance learning undergraduate course (final year)
  • Enrolled on a part-time/distance learning postgraduate course
  • Enrolled on a sandwich year of a full time undergraduate course

If you do not possess an accredited qualification, you must consider further study on an SCS/RICS accredited course. Please ensure when selecting a course that it is accredited – the Education Office will be happy to assist you in this regard, education@scs.ie or 01 6765500
